GM, a Shrinking Car Brand

Other companies invented the automobile and the production of it, but General Motors invented the modern car company. The owner at the time, Alfred Sloan, turned the need of a car for transportation into the desire to have a cool fast car. For 80 years after the creation of GM in 1908, they were the top brand selling and making cars. Today GM is no longer the top after declaring bankruptcy in 2009 and having to close down some of their brands like Pontiac.  Today GM is a shadow of what it once was, like when it was making iconic pony cars like the Camero or GTO. GM has only itself to blame because they have no one to design new good looking cars or engineer bigger and better motors.
