What Can Lack of Sleep Cause?

Everyone in the world needs to sleep whether it’s in the morning, night, or mid-day. Teenagers should get at least 8-10 hours of sleep a night. So if you wake up at 7:00 AM then you should try to go to sleep anywhere from 9:00-11:00 PM. Kids should get 9-12 hours of sleep and adults should get 7-9 hours of sleep. If you start to not get enough sleep you can have problems thinking and weaken you immune system, which is a bad idea because you need to think a lot through out the day and need to think a lot during school.

You can also have driving problems because you didn’t get enough sleep the night before and cause a car accident and we don’t want that. Lack of sleep also can cause mental illnesses like anxiety and depression, which could cause long term effects. There are physical health effects, like on the heart (heart attack, heart failure, stroke, etc.). Lack of sleep also ages your skin faster then it needs to be. You could also be forgetful. As you can tell there are many negative effects from not sleeping, both mental and physical side effects, and you should try to get the most sleep you can because these effects could have both short term effects and long term effects.
