Starting on April 15, people over the age of 16 can get a vaccine for COVID-19 in California. Before, only health workers, people working in education, and long-care facility staff, just to name a few, got the vaccine. According to state officials, it will take a few months for all residents to be vaccinated. As of right now, California has administered over 15 million vaccine doses. Right now, California has started reserving 40% of its doses for vulnerable neighborhoods that might have high cases of COVID-19. I will probably get my shot soon, and so should you (if you’re 16 or over).
