Poverty in Colombia

Colombia has one of the world’s largest poverty levels right now in South America. In Colombia currently right now 27% of the population lives in poverty. Poverty levels are so high because ever since Covid 19 hit, a lot of people have lost their jobs. Plus there is the unequal distribution of the country’s wealth and welfare which affects the Colombian citizens. As a result 662,146 families in Colombia are homeless; that’s 30% of the population that do not have adequate homes to live in. The housing situation is really bad down there.
