Las Vegas Raiders Carl Nassib Makes LGTBQ History

On June 21st of 2021, Carl Nassib came out as a member of the LGBTQ community (coming out as gay). What’s so special about Carl Nassib is that he is a professional football player for the Las Vegas Raiders. He became the first openly gay NFL athlete to play a “regular season contest.” Not only did he get praise for being the first openly gay NFL player to play a “regular season contest,” but he also forced an overtime fumble, to give the Raiders the ball back, to win the game for the Raiders. They won 33-27 on Monday night, against the Baltimore Ravens.
