The telescope was launched into space on December 25 of last year and today it has been announced that the telescope has been aligned to observe the universe. The telescope had to be folded to fit inside a rocket and over several months it would unfold itself in space. The telescope cost 10 billion dollars to make and there have been some photos that have come from the telescope.
