Do you have a voice that you want to make heard? Do you love writing and want to take a fun and enriching writing elective? Do you need a “G” course to satisfy your A-G requirements? Do you want to have the amazing Mrs. Coogan as a teacher? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Digital Communications (Journalism) is the perfect class for you! Journalism is honestly the best class I have ever taken. You have the freedom to write about whatever you want (granted it is legal material– non-threatening, non-discriminatory, etc.) . You will not be censored for expressing your opinions, and we all know teens are very opinionated. Next, if you commit, it is easy to get an A. As long as you write one article per week, about anything you want, and however long you want it, you will pass the class with an A. You work at your own pace. It is very mellow and relaxed. I have written about politics, my opinions on school and world news, my life experiences, and more. Mrs. Coogan is very open-minded. Whether or not she, or anyone else, agrees with what you write, she will post it. She will grant you your First Amendment rights as a student writer. She is amazing. I guarantee you, with the utmost confidence, you will LOVE Journalism. I highly recommend it to all Tigers.
