September 20th of 2018 the Family Forum took place in the dance room. Walking in to the room was a little nerve racking because I had no idea what to expect. There was a large circle of chairs and most people were socializing. The Peer Counseling leaders introduced themselves and made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable, and soon after that they began activities that were fun and also had a meaning behind them. These activities helped everyone get to know each other and realize that everyone shares similarities.  Later on that morning we were separated into smaller groups with 2 peer counselor leaders in each group, and when we began talking I began realizing that I can relate to most people in my group with several things. I noticed that I could connect with all these students and how comfortable they made me feel. I had never imagined that a school could make everyone feel at home as if everyone on the campus was their family. The Family Forum was amazing and if anyone has a chance to attend I recommend that you do because it definitely helps with making new friends and maybe you can even help someone else with the advice you have to give.
