On March 8, 2014 the Malaysia flight M370 was on its way to Beijing when it suddenly disappeared. It was carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members. 38 mins into the flight the plane disappeared. Investigators thought that it went missing over the Indian Ocean. Jeff Wise, a science author, thought that if the plane went north they might have landed on a remote island and the passengers still might be alive, and if it went south the only destination was a watery grave, but there was no clear way to figure out which way they landed. Some theories are that Vladimir Putin was involved with hijacking the flight, the US military shot it down, the pilot committed suicide, it was hiding, there were cracks in the plane, the pilot planned the incident, or North Korea took the plane and crashed it in the Cambodia jungle. Now it’s 2019, five years later, and the plane hasn’t been found, one of the pilots survived but what happened with the other passengers? It’s still a mystery to most.
