Do you ever get an assignment to write about something, that is not in particular? Like you got to choose on your own? Well so do I, and I don’t always know what I want to write about. I would sit in the same spot for 20 minutes just trying to figure out a topic that I can consistently write about. The struggle is real.

A good way to find topics to write about is to simply look it up online. I recommend looking up argumentative topics to write about because they are the easiest to get into and give your opinion on. Not only that, but you can simply just look around to find something that would be unique to write about. For instance, if you are sitting outside and you spot a tree, write about it. Maybe not the tree in particular, but nature in general and how it’s beneficial for the earth and the people on it. Sometimes we think too hard, instead of just taking the simply things and turning it into something way larger or noticeable than it is. Other than that you can simply ask a friend, or even write something about your family and lifestyle. There are billions of subjects to write about, we just never really realize that. Put some headphones on, and just feel the music. It doesn’t seem like music would help, but it really does. It can stimulate your brain since it’s already giving you good vibes. All in all, writing is simple, and the key to writing when you have nothing to write about, is to not overthink!
