Stunt is considered a branch off traditional sideline and competition cheer. However, one thing that make STUNT unique is its lack of crowd interaction and sign/pom/megaphone work. In fact, STUNT encourages athletes not to smile during a game. STUNT incorporates all the skills seen in sideline and competitive cheer (stunting, jumps, and tumbling) without the showmanship. All the skills showcased are simple, raw, and performed in a tournament-style game.

A panel of certified judges sit in front of the mat where two STUNT teams are ready to demonstrate their skills. Each team takes a side of the mat and performs the same skill in a sequenced matter. Who gets the point? That’s where the judges come into play. They base everything on execution and timing of both teams. Whichever team scores the overall highest score for that round, they get rewarded a point. This process continues throughout the entirety of the STUNT game for a series of routines.
