Japanese Cruise Ship

On Friday, a Diamond Princess cruise ship tested positive for coronavirus. Among the 61 confirmed cases, there were seven Australians, one American, and two Canadians diagnosed. Because of this, the ship, which is carrying 3,700 people, has been quarantined in Yokohama since Monday. Required by the Ministry of Health, the quarantine will last at least 14 days. Guests will continue to be provided with internet in order to stay in contact with their loved ones. The ship’s crew is working on keeping all guests comfortable as they go through this. The next two Diamond Princess cruises which were departing from Yokohama (Feb 4 and Feb 12) have be cancelled. This story keeps on developing as more and more passengers are getting diagnosed with the severe virus.
