A Chinese newborn has become the youngest person infected with the coronavirus, according to multiple news reports. The newborn was diagnosed just 30 hours after birth. The baby’s mother tested positive before she gave birth on February 2nd in Wuhan. But the baby is reported to be in stable condition. The television network says the baby probably caught the virus while in the womb or maybe close contact with the mother after birth. “This reminds us to pay attention to mother and child being a possible route of coronavirus transmission,” the chief physician of Wuhan children’s hospital said.
