E-Sports Changing the World

E-Sports Changing the World

Before, we used to play games as a way of spending our free time, or having fun with our families. Now, it can get us a job in the athletic field. E-sports is making its way into the educational system and is changing lives of hundreds of students. This hobby has turned into something anyone can learn and get better at. People are applying to take it as a major, where playing Call of Duty can get you a job in the world. With more and more people getting access to it, it might make its way to Elsinore High.

More and more students are applying to take this subject as a major, and some have had a love for the real sports they are playing before they started. This gave them a feel for the games before changing to the more computerized version making this industry even bigger. This practice has gotten so big that there are arenas, teams, and even viewers of the games rooting the players on. Each team functions like a real sports team, with each player having a jersey with a number with a certain amount of players. Fans wear jerseys of the players they support and they even have commentators for the matches. It provides amazing benefits, like getting people jobs in the athletic field, such as agents and coaches. Even becoming a Youtube gamer can be a job that you can live off of. This has not only changed lives for students, but it can potentially change the lives of many to come.

To not consider this a sport would be degrading, because bringinmg competition to our lives and helping people find their way is incredible. So, I encourage more people to get involved and it would be a great opportunity if our own school would join the trend that will last.
