For a while now we have been using Five Star as our restroom pass, and there have been many good outcomes using Five Star but also many bad outcomes. Five Star is a good app but many people that go to the bathroom don’t sign in and don’t actually go to the restroom, which results in many people actually needing to use the restroom which then causes a lot of people to get frustrated because they can’t go since someone who isn’t using the restroom is taking more than seven minutes and are forced to wait till they come back depending on if the teacher will let them go or not. The school administration needs to find better ways to make use of the restroom pass and actually make sure that students that are signed in or not actually use the restroom and head back to class so it does not cause many problems in the future for students to experience.
