Roses are red, violets aren’t blue, but here I am to speak of you.

While always on my mind, having you be mine oh mine, is one thing I’d never give up til the end of time. An artist without art, a poet with no poetry, an author with no books, why Love it’s me, a me without you and simply put, it just won’t do.

Be it days or weeks, you can be sure, I’d travel from here to there. To you I go, yes you I follow, from here to there, I’ll be your shadow. From dusk til dawn, at every hour, I’ll be your shoulder to cry on. Simple tears, to pain or fear, from movies that make you shed a tear.

A tear is what you’ll never do, to a heart now belonging to you. Treat with care, give tons of kisses, a hug or two will surely do, for you I stay, til the end I follow.

Poetry is an arrangement of words written or spoken for things loved, like a person, flower, an animal or work of art. Although, the person you proclaim a poem to may as well be a work of art too. Poetry is a rhythmical composition of emotions, experiences, or ideas in a way that means more than just saying what you want to.

If you wanted to express you love to your SO with words, but feel like saying “I love you” is too little, poetry is a wonderful if not beautiful way to do so.

They say actions speak louder than words, and yes, it’s true, no doubt about it. But a work made just for them, with treats among every rhyme, you’ll be sure to strike a chord in their heart. Poems have been around from 2500 to 3000 years BC, the oldest poem we know of being ‘A Hymn to Tammuz.’

To be loved by a poet is to be loved by someone who deeply expresses their feelings, and you know you can go to them for anything. They’re a master of words, you can be sure your poet will find the right pattern to make you feel like the world revolves around you, even for just a second.
