On March 9th, 2024, YouTube star Matthew Patrick, better known as MatPat from the YouTube channel The Game Theorists has officially retired. His final theory, if you could call it that, is the importance of the term “game theory.” Game theory is one of the most used theories around the world, and the most popular instances of game theory is the deescalation of the Cuban missile crisis, both World Wars, the Cold War, and the most popular simulated version of game theory is the prisoner’s dilemma.
