I think we have a problem with how the school hasn’t been giving enough respect to us upperclassmen with the freshmen only getting laptops. For instance we juniors and seniors are the ones that need them more, and some of us don’t have enough money to buy a Mac or a Chromebook, and we all know that we upperclassmen are getting ready for college and most of us are trying to get better grades and stay on top of our assignments. It’s not to say that freshmen aren’t deserving of them, it’s just that the entirety of being at EHS it feels as if we aren’t seen or cared about. Most of the time last year we were all being held accountable for other people’s choices and we had 7 minutes to use the restroom with the 5 star app. Now it’s even worse we have passes but one for the restroom and a useless hall pass that teachers don’t use because they are only allowed to use hall pass for everything but the restroom. Some of us students are going to go to college and it feels like we are at a glorified daycare. I suggest that the higher ups in the school have a meeting or a poll of some sort for the school to implement rules that matter and not useless rules that apply to 5% of people, such as the red line rule that no one even wanted or cares about because it only applies to trouble makers. To conclude the story I want the higher ups to listen to us students because they aren’t the ones living 1/4 of their day here just be allowed to use the restroom one at a time and not allowed to cross red lines because they can’t put people who solicit there all day in detention.
