I will talk about a famous fictional character, Godzilla. Godzilla is a kaiju, a huge one with so many movies. He originates from Japan. He is very popular over there, but he also made his way over here to the US. I will not be talk about the American Godzilla yet. But, I will be talking about the Golden Era Godzilla, or called the Showa era, aka the beginning.

The first ever Godzilla movie was called “Godzilla (1954).” This movie was such a huge success, it won an award for “Best Visual Effects.” This is a huge reward for a movie that was released such a long time ago. I don’t want to spoil much about the movie, but it was an incredible hit. The second movie in the Showa Era is called, “Godzilla Raids Again.” During this movie, Godzilla fights his rival, Anguirus, who causes quite some damage in the city. The next Showa movie I will talk about is “King Kong vs Godzilla.” You might get mixed up with this one and “Godzilla vs Kong (2021).” This one though came out a while ago. There was no declared winner but they did fight throughout the islands of Japan. Godzilla gets King Kong to the ground but then lighting strikes Kong and he gets back up with new lighting powers. He uses the new powers to get Godzilla into the water.

That is a few of the Godzilla movies from the Showa Era. Those three being the very beginning of Godzilla. There are six Eras of Godzilla. There’s the Showa Era, Heisei Era, TriStar Era, Millennium Era, Monsterverse, and the recent one which is the Reiwa Era.
