Biorhythm: This is a card that reads “Each player’s life total becomes the number of creatures he or she controls.” For two green mana and six mana of any color, on the surface, it’s a unique card that might lead to crazy plays, so I don’t really seen anything too bad with it, right? Well according to Wizards, “As an eight-mana sorcery, Biorhythm can appear to deck builders as a fair and funny haymaker but the reality is that it usually results in a disappointing twist to the game, ignoring previous gameplay to wipe 100+ life off the board. Wrath effects are a core element of casual metagames, and most often Biorhythm results in the accidental elimination of players rather than a strategic payoff.” My problem with this is that there are too many ways to punish players that play creatures compared to any other permanent type in Magic, so adding an additional payoff to playing an absurd amount of creatures while also punishing those that don’t really run them is I believe is fair, therefore this card should be UNBANNED.
