According to the NFL, an unidentified 17-year-old male attempted to steal Ricky Pearsall’s watch with a gun in the afternoon of August 31st. The 17-year-old tried to rob the 23-year-old 49ers player while he was walking to his car after shopping at the Union Square in San Francisco. While not damaging vital organs, Pearsall was shot through his chest. He was released from the San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center on Sunday and was at the team facility on Monday where he was placed on the non-football injury list. The 17-year-old was arrested and is charged with attempted murder, attempted second-degree robbery, and assault with a firearm. He will soon be placed at the Juvenile Justice Center. Ricky Pearsall is currently recovering from the shooting and is expected to make a full recovery. He is hoped to be back on the football field soon.
