Ms. Jefferson is a wonderful teacher, and works with sophomores, juniors, and seniors. She teaches US History for juniors, AVID 10 for sophomores, and AP Macroeconomics for seniors.
And by golly I hate it.
As amazing as Ms. Jefferson is, I can’t stand the class and the work keeps piling on. Once an assignment is done during class, suddenly we have time for a few more. She often forgets to remind us of an assignment for the night of, and writes on the board once most of us leave for the bell. Though I am also to blame as I try to leave as soon as possible to gather my senses again.
AP Macroeconomics is one of the hardest classes I’ve ever taken and I’m disappointed at myself for weakening at a semester long class. As I write, we have reached the second unit, completed 15 prompts total, and am doing our Problem Set, a study guide of sorts. Reading about math and decisions humans made is one of my least favorite things, and I yearn for the AP tests so I may let my brain rest from Macroeconomics.
The work is dreadfully long, boring at times, but needed regardless. Its a class not meant for the weak and those who procrastinate, like myself. This class isn’t one you can just Google search, you have to learn. You have to pay attention, read often, write pages upon pages of notes, and be quick to take pictures of the notes on the board to jot down. Ms. Jefferson is a quick teacher, and I’m a slow learner, so hopefully I don’t get burnt out by December.
Until next time Tigers, where I’ll be checking out the front office and more!
