Honkai: Star Rail is a amazing turn-based game. It has done amazing in sales and visual effects, and it won awards for the game having a great story. So much is in this game, now let me tell you about it.

This game takes you in a journey through space, kind of like Star Wars. Though in this game you start off as nothing so you have to go through a quest to become the Main Character of the game. You can choose to be either a male or female, and nothing major changes if you choose either one. It’s just for you to choose whichever one you love the most. The male is named Caelus, and the female is named Stelle. Once you choose your desired MC, that’s when your journey begins.

Just to mention that this is a gacha game, so there’s a pulling system. Like this new character that just dropped. Her name is Feixiao, and she’s a foxian. The pity system for pulling is difficult to understand but I am here to explain. So in the pity system there’s something called a 50/50. That means you have a 50 percent chance to get your desired character and there’s a 50 percent chance to get a standard character. I  f forgot to mention, there are different types of tiers of characters. For example, there are 5* characters and weapons, which are basically the legendaries. Then there are 4* character and weapons, which is just the epic items. There are supports, main dps, sub dps, de-buffers, and shielders. There is also two types of banners, the Standard and the Event. The standard banner holds seven characters that are five stars, which are Himeko, Welt, Bronya, Gepard, Clara, Yanqing, and Bailu. Those characters are relatively strong in their own way. So if you get one then you’re good to go! You could get their weapons in the Standard banner too.

Now let’s talk about class and element. There are different classes in this game, and by that I mean like there are a lot of characters in one class, but they could all be different elements too. So let’s start off with one. First we have destruction. These characters attack 3 enemies, sometimes 4. This is one of the strongest classes in the game, dealing a lot of damage.  Next there’s the Hunt. These characters hit 1 target, and they deal a lot of damage in their preference. They do a lot of damage to one target, which is what makes them strong. Most of them are good and the rest are okay. Like there’s a new character in the Hunt, her name is Feixiao and she is the wind element. The next class is Erudition, characters who also attack a lot of enemies at the same time. But unlike Destruction, Erudition attacks all enemies that are on the field. Most of them carry a follow up attack. I forgot to mention that follow up attacks can be in any class, and they are basically attacks you can get by getting a stack of it while fighting or just randomly. Anyways Erudition characters don’t really deal too much damage but it’s always great to have some for bosses. The next class is Harmony, and you always need a Harmony user. These are the buffers, who will increase your attack, speed, crit damage and rate, which is really helpful. Most of them are really flexible, and that means they can work in almost every team, which is great. The next one is Nihility. These characters are de-buffers, which mean they could buff up damage for other characters that need de-buffs to increase damage. They could also give some defense reduction to the enemies. There’s one Nihility character that is strong, named Acheron. She can hit over one million damage! This is amazing and usually could one shot a boss. Now this next class is a must have:Preservation. They can create a shield for your team and there’s this one that can reduce damage, which is pretty good since enemies will do less damage to you. The next one is the last,  Abundance. These are basically the healers. That’s pretty much it. Some could heal all allies, and others could do a single one.

So I will recommend 2-3 characters per class. First we will talk with Destruction, we have Imbibitor Lunae, Y, Yunli, and Firefly. For the Hunt we have Feixiao, Topaz, and Boothill. For Erudition we have Argenti and Jing Yuan. For Harmony we have Ruan Mei, Sparkle, and Robin. For Nihility we have Acheron, Jiaoqiu, and Kafka. Last but not least Preservation, Aventurine, and Fu Xuan. That is all the recommendations I have for you, but you may like different characters, which is all good. You don’t need a full team of five stars. You need a team that you like and feel comfortable using.
