Hey guys! Lately I’ve been really into baking and made some delicious banana bread. Last week I made 2 whole loaves and gave them out to all my friends and teachers. They absolutely loved it and now whenever they see me they always ask when I’m making more, lol. If they loved it I know you will too, soooooo here’s the recipe:
- set the oven too 320
- get a big bowl
- mash 2 ripe bananas(make sure they’re mostly brown not yellow)
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1tsp of vanilla extract
- 1tsp cinnamon
- mix well with a whisk
- 1 and 1/2 cups of flour
- 2tsp of baking powder
- 1tsp salt
- fold in with a spatula
- 1/3 cup (I did 1/2 cup) of chocolate chips of your choosing
- a handful of walnuts or pecans or both(optional)
- mix well again
Once you do all this in 1 bowl you get your baking tray/pan and spray nonstick cooking oil in it then put parchment paper in it and spray the nonstick oil over the parchment paper too. (This makes the banana bread come out of the pan super easily and smoothly!) Then you can just pour the batter into the pan and add more nuts and chocolate chips of your choosing on top as well as a light sprinkle of brown sugar to add some razzle dazzle. Now, you can finally put it in the oven for 1 hour (no more no less).
If you’re extra like me and need something to go with it, here’s a brown sugar butter (it’s really just frosting) recipe too:
- 1 cup softened butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1tsp cinnamon(I did 2)
- 1tsp vanilla(I did 2)
- mix well with an electric mixer
- 3 cups of powdered sugar (1 at a time to avoid a mess)
- 2tbsp milk or heavy whipping cream
- mix well with an electric mixer again
I’ve been told that it tastes like the Texas Roadhouse butter so I think ya’ll should give it a try too;)
