Sailor Moon started in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine in Japan on December 28, 1991 and the manga ran until 1997. The anime first premiered on March 7, 1992 in Japan, becoming so popular that it came to America. There are 5 seasons which are Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon R, Sailor Moon SuperS, and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars. There are also 7 movies, including Sailor Moon R the Movie and Sailor Moon S the Movie. Sailor Moon Crystal is a remake of the original anime that aired 2014 to 2021.
