I feel like kids ages older then 10 years old should get allowances because if you think about it, when you hit age 10 or so, chores are required to do and if you grew up in a household where your parents (mainly your mom) would make you do every chore in your house, then yes we should get paid for it. For me, getting a allowance shows that parents are respecting us for doing chores.
