Plastic is bad for the environment and while recycling can help, it doesn’t help much. There is a reason for the saying reduce, reuse, recycle. So here are some Halloween crafts that reuse plastics.
- Milk jug ghost- you need an old milk jug, a black sharpie, something to cut with, and a string of clear low-wattage Christmas lights. First, you cut out a flap in the back so you can put the lights inside. Then draw a ghost face on the front and put in the lights.
- Recycled Bread Tag Monsters- you need bread tags and paints. First paint the tag one color and when its dry you can paint any monster faces on them.
- Egg carton eyes- You’ll need an empty egg carton, scissors, black spray paint, white acrylic paint, paint brush, and pipe cleaners. First, you paint the egg carton black and after the black has dried then paint white circles on each egg cavity, leaving a small black circle in the middle. After the paint dries cut the carton into six pieces, each with two eyes. finally, punch a hole with the scissor’s point in the middle of each pair of eyes and twist a pipe cleaner through the hole. You hang these in trees and brushes.
