As Valorant prepares for its 9.10 update, players have many new additions to the game to look forward to! For one, the game’s competitive Act will be seeing a reset on Wednesday, October 23rd, as well as a new battle pass with new weapon skins and items. These sort of changes are typical for new updates, however, I found myself personally shocked at the other news that got leaked for 9.10; there will be a new armor type added to the game. It’s called Regen Shield, and by the looks of it, it seems like it will regenerate health while it’s active, rather than just tanking damage alone like the existing Light and Heavy shields do. So far, the player base’s reactions to these leaks are a little negative; most fear for the loss of the game’s one bullet headshot system. Personally though, I feel like it’s very reminiscent of existing overheal abilities in the game except with better UI, so I’m not that worried about its impact on the game. Although, everything is just speculation until the update officially releases.
