What are Kaomojis?
Kaomojis are Japanese style emoticons that use a mix of Japanese and Latin letters, as well as punctuation marks to create faces and expressions.
Kaomojis are typically used horizontally, unlike how American emoticons are used vertically. Some examples of classic Kaomojis are (^. ^) and (^_~), while emoticons look like :P, or :D.
Since the popularization of Kaomojis, they have expanded to include more detailed and personalized faces, having a perfect one for each emotion one wants to convey. The emoticons have also branched out from solely being faces to things like animals or characters. Along with expressions, Kaomojis have also been responsible for creating emoji combos such as . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁ or °❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
