Elsinore High’s Senior Apocalypse kicked off earlier this month, launching an intense, thrilling game of tag for the senior class. Each senior is assigned a target—another classmate—and the goal is to seek out and tag that person before being tagged by whoever has them as a target. To keep things interesting, the school has designated specific “immunity days,” allowing seniors to avoid elimination by carrying a plushie or wearing a bandana. These immunity days add a strategic twist to the game, letting students dodge their “assassins” and prolong their participation.
With nearly the entire senior class involved, the Senior Apocalypse could stretch on for months, as it only ends when a single student remains untagged. Since each player is constantly on the lookout, either tracking their target or evading their pursuer, the game takes on a suspenseful, slow-burn intensity. Immunity days add another layer of strategy, extending the competition and making eliminations less predictable. This drawn-out setup means the game will likely carry through the school year, keeping students engaged in a high-stakes, campus-wide challenge until the last senior standing emerges victorious.

I am a senior at EHS and I am apart of Studio 1891, I was not able to take any gap periods this year and I’ve heard that journalism is an excellent class to take.
