A sauna is a heated room made for increased sweating and overall relaxation. According to GoodRx, sauna use improves heart health and blood pressure, lowers the risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s, is a great source of recovery for soreness, eases joint pain, reduces stress, makes skin healthier, improves sleep and immune systems, and much more. An explanation from Finnleo.com for the causes of these benefits is the body releases endorphins, body temperature rises, and this increases blood circulation due to blood vessels dilating. Not only would sauna use benefit athletes for sore muscles, it would positively impact the health of many other people. There are many physical and mental effects on the user that will make them very healthy. I suggest going in a sauna and spending about five to ten minutes for your first time and gradually increase the time you spend in it depending on your comfort, but not going past thirty minutes. Overall, saunas are extremely physically and mentally beneficial for you and I recommend for you to try it.
