I have never seen snow thick enough to actually make a snow angel myself, but I think they are very pretty. I would also imagine that they would be fun to make.
Although the activity is simply done for fun, there are many beliefs over the symbolism of snow angels. Because of the purity of fresh snow, snow angels have also been associated with religion and the Christmas holiday.
Creating snow angels could also be seen as physical exercise during the cold winter months. The repetitive motions used while laying down helps reduce muscle tension, and it also makes exercise enjoyable. Yay!
