On January 25th at 8am, we departed in a school issued bus with Mrs. Lawler and roughly 22 students.

We arrived a bit late to our class, having made a wrong turn and on the wrong side of a road. We pulled in a parking lot, hopped off the bus, and zoomed to our chosen class of many.

I chose AP Literature.

The teacher, Mr. Kaloney, went over a more effective way of approaching multiple choice questions, and we debriefed an FRQ, which we had no time to fully go into. Break began at 10:45, and we were allowed to go get food on campus.

We would be returning to the bus at 12:50. We were informed against going to the second session despite having the time for it, but my 3 amigos and I went to walk to Starbucks and searched high and low for a bathroom and settled to eat at the local The Habit. We got my food to go and sat in front of a clock tower while waiting for the time to near our departure.

Overall, the trip was informative, and UCR is a wonderful campus that I’d love to tour fully given the chance.
