Tommy February6 was born Tomoko Kawase in Japan, February6 1975. She was the lead singer of an alternative J-Pop band named The Brilliant Green. Later, she started a solo career under the pseudonyms of both Tommy february6 and Tommy heavenly6.
Though she is most known as Tommy february6, both of her alter egos display opposing feelings through their music. Tommy february6’s discography is based on upbeat teenage romance. while Tommy february6 relates more toward the feelings of anger and isolation.
Most of Tommy’s music is in English, with English titles and lyrics, though she herself cannot speak the language. I like the music of Tommy february6 more, with my favorite songs being “dancin’ baby” and “lonely in gorgeous.”
