The heavily popular game series Mass Effect is finally having a show adaptation! Despite the timing, it wasn’t announced officially on BioWare’s social channels, which previously tempered expectations for N7 Day in the wake of the recent launch of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. But hey, it still means Mass Effect fans have something to celebrate on this N7 Day.
IGN has confirmed the news with Amazon as well. Daniel Casey (10 Cloverfield Lane) is set to write and executive produce the series. Other producers include EA/BioWare’s Michael Gamble, who’s leading development on the next Mass Effect game, and Avi Arad, who’s also working on the upcoming The Legend of Zelda live-action movie. Karim Zreik/Cedar Tree Productions are producing as well under an overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios.
