The Copa Del Rey final was played between Barcelona and Real Madrid. The game began and the team who looked actively better was Barcelona and in the 28th minute a key run by Lamine Yamal he passes it into an are of at least 10 square feet of nobody but midfielder Pedri just by himself unopposed and slots a curler into the top left area of the goal for a 1-0 lost. Barcelona would then begin to lose their pressure on Real after several missed chances that could have put the game away. Then in the second half Kylian Mbappe arguably the best overall striker in the world came on for Real Madrid effectively putting the game on its head with his first ever free kick goal and slotting the 1-1 in minute 70. 7 minutes later Aurelien Tchouameni takes the lead with a decisive header to make the lead 2-1 in favor of Real Madrid and it seems like smooth sailing only 12 minutes until stoppage time and they win the major first cup of the season but Ferran Torres has something to say with a Backline and Keeper error Ferran scores a rather close goal in the 84th minute. The end of regulation comes and goes and extra time begins with nothing eventful until the 115′ minute when Jules Kounde slides a shot into the bottom corner of the goal with 6’7 Courtois unable to reach and save it. The game ends 3-2 in favor of FC Barcelona winning their 32nd Copa Del Rey.
