There were great performances by the Elsinore track and field program yesterday at the Mountain Pass Championships. Elsinore defeated Temescal Canyon, San Jacinto, Tahquitz, and West Valley. The girls’ 4×1, Isabella Ibibosemoses (12), Tsubaki Yamakita (11), Giselle Rodriguez (12), and Jaida Prince (10), broke the school record again with a time of 48.52! Sophomore Jaida Prince won long jump with a PR of 18’4.5″, 100m with a PR of 12.36, and 200m with a PR of 25.40. Senior Cheyenne Schachter won discus with a PR of 120’0″. Senior Crystal Steier won triple jump with a jump of 37’0.5″. Senior Nic Alexis won triple jump with a jump of 49’0″ and long jump with 23’9″. Junior Tsubaki Yamakita won 100h by running her PR of 15.41 and 300h with a PR of 46.64. Elsinore track athletes are looking forward to the first round of CIF coming up next week on Saturday!
