The Sallie House in Atchison, Kansas is a well known tourist attraction. It is apparently haunted by the spirit of a girl named Sallie. She was brought to the house for severe abdominal pain, so the doctor performed an emergency surgery believing her appendix was about to rupture, but the surgery is said to have been botched, leading to her death.
Sallie is dubbed “The Man Hating Ghost” as male residents and visitors reported being scratched until they bled. The Sallie House offers overnight stays which many people have stated the stay being “overpriced” and “uneventful.”
