I had an amazing time at prom! It was honestly better than I expected. They had snacks like cookies, strawberries, muffins, etc. They also had a little bonfire and station where you can make s’mores. There was a big dance floor and they were playing pretty alright music. You can’t really expect the good good songs to play at prom because we’re still minors and the teachers don’t wanna lose their jobs lol. There was also a place to play poker and a little upstairs area where a jazz band was performing. It was so cute!

It had been sprinkling a little throughout the day but I wasn’t too worried about it thinking prom would be inside. Wrong. The dance floor was inside but everything else was outside. It barely rained during prom but as soon as the clock hit 11pm and it was time to leave it started pouring. The security didn’t care and just kicked everyone out to the front. After prom I was supposed to go out to eat with 2 of my friends but one of them couldn’t and I didn’t find out until the last minute. My other friend was coming home with me though. If she had told me I would’ve called my mom to come pick me and my other friend up and hour prior because she was far away. So yea, 1 of my friends left and the other was standing in the rain with me.

I ordered an Uber to Denny’s just so we wouldn’t have to stand in the rain for so long but I blinked and the Uber went from 7 minutes away to 17 minutes away. We only had my little jacket between the 2 of us which didn’t do much because we still ended up soaked. We were the last ones there, even the administration left before us. The principal even asked us if we wanted to wait for our ride in her car but by the time she pulled her car around our Uber was pulling up. It was very sweet of her. We got in the Uber, made it to Denny’s, didn’t want food from Denny’s, got in my mom’s car, and made my mom buy us In-N-Out. Long story short I had a prom to remember 😉
