
Elsinore track athletes had great performances while competing at the CIF Southern Section Division 2 Prelims at Ontario High School on May 10th. The girls’ 4×1 team (Isabella Ibibosemoses, Tsubaki Yamakita, Giselle Rodriguez, and Jaida Prince) qualified for the next round of CIF and broke the school record for a THIRD time with a time of 48.29. The girls’ 4×4 team (Isabella Ibibosemoses, Joleen Aguilar, Marisol Diaz, and Giselle Rodriguez) also qualified and broke the school record with a time of 4:03.66. For more shoutouts, junior Tsubaki Yamakita qualified in the 100m hurdles and triple jump, sophomore Jaida Prince qualified in the 100m dash with a PR of 12.19, senior Cheyenne Schachter qualified in discus with a PR of 122’10”, senior Crystal Steier qualified in triple jump, junior Cam Webb qualified in triple jump with a PR of 42’9″, senior Nic Alexis qualified in triple jump and long jump and placed 1st in both events, and sophomore Jamarie Williams qualified in long jump with a PR of 22’0.5″.
