On Sunday, May 18th, me and my family (Mom, Dad, my two little sisters, 8 & 3, my cousin and his wife along with his wife’s brother and his girlfriend) went to go visit the fair in LA, an hour drive but it was not bad at all. We got there at almost 2 in the afternoon and the first thing I wanted to do was go on a ride. which were really fun, and the lines weren’t crazy long as most say they would be. My younger sister picked the first ride which was a small decent sized rollercoaster for kids (was not for kids at all). It was really rough for every turn it did, yanking me and my sister and our Nina to one side. It was pretty fast too for what seemed like a kid ride. But, it was a fun 8/10.
I didn’t eat much there, but one of my family members got a ‘donut burger’–two Krispycreme donuts for the buns and then two pieces of meat and cheese, but it was the first hearing about that and it didn’t look that good so I didn’t want to try it. They had a lot of different kinds of food, a lot made with hot Cheeto crumbs like elotes (many, many elote stands) topping it off with hot Cheeto crumbs, even on corndogs, fries, pizza, and many other foods that is just too much to remember. But I was looking for one specific thing that they didn’t have. The hot Cheeto filled cheese balls. I see them everywhere on my feed and thought maybe there would be at least one stand that sold them. There was none but that’s okay, everything else was nice. A little pricey too but, it’s the fair so that’s always expected.
My sister went on most of the rides with me, and our cousin. My favorite ride of all was where it spun and swung back and forth, the seat swinging with it too so every time it went upside down we did too, but I felt like I was going to fall off because when it happened you were not touching the seat beneath you, the bars or the thing that goes over you during it luckily helped us from falling out like it’s supposed to. It was really fast in my opinion and scary but it was the best thrill, 9.2/10
I also went on the spaceship, alien ride where you lay against the wall on long leather-like mats to support you so you didn’t fall off when you were spinning with my sister and our cousin. Which was insanely fast, it felt like my face was pulling away from my skull and stretching from how fast it was. Then sometimes the mat would slide up towards the roof of the ride since its tilted to one side slightly. Lasted a minute or so, and of course after it I could barely walk from the dizziness. Another one of my favorite rides.
Overall, everything was great except for how the pens were for the animals, a huge line for them where people just took their time. I guess a goat was giving birth at that moment too, which is amazing but I didn’t get to and didn’t want to see that. I watched from the outside but even then there was a decent amount of people standing there so it was hard to see.
Then we got pizza and ate at my cousins’ house for a few hours after we left the fair and then went back home.
