In the Premier League there are 5 spots up for contention for Champions League, the most acclaimed competition in the world outside of, of course, the World Cup. The CL spot race looked completely different halfway in the season with Liverpool still in first, Arsenal in 2nd still, Forest in 3rd, and Chelsea in 4th, Newcastle in 5th and Man City in 6th knocking on the door. The table was looking good for many teams including Forest and Chelsea who are finally looking to play Champions League and Man City looking out of form in 5th instead of 1st. The table sits Liverpool, Arsenal, City, Newcastle, and Chelsea with 1 point parting 7th which means NO EUROPEAN competition so to say the least it is looking very grim for Chelsea, Newcastle, Forest and Man City. If one wins or losses on the last day their WHOLE SEASON could have been for nothing.
