The “67” meme, popularized on TikTok for being one of the most renowned memes through late 2024 and 2025, is having several debaten whether or not it is still popular among students alike.
Many TikTok users are usually young students, so the “67” meme is heard throughout lunch talks, or just joking in general. Approximately 33% of TikTok users are under the age of 18, and if not 18 right now, one in 4 TikTok users is underage. Throughout the US, it is speculated that 50.6% of the adult population uses TikTok. Though still adults, adults even sometimes partake in TikTok trends or memes.
Students using TikTok is common and is widespread. But does this mean students partake in the TikTok trend known as “67”? the “67” meme on TikTok where the person in the video makes a funny face and says “67!” really loud? The phrase “67” comes from a TikTok song known as “Doot Doot (6 7)” by Skrilla. The song itself is hip-hop in nature, but more rap and drill.
From a student’s point of view, TikTok dances, videos, and memes are everywhere in school. From my personal experience at Elsinore High School, there are lots of students saying “67!” from the top of their lungs, and to me it is pretty funny. I wonder if this meme is used in any other schools in California, and I think most likely yes. This particular TikT0k song is extremely popular, especially amongst children.
In summary, the “67” TikTok meme is extremely popular, especially amongst students, and I don’t doubt it will be around long before it eventually dies out.
