On August 6th, 2025, The Walt Disney Company announced that the musical Hamilton would be coming out into theaters. This release into theaters is because of the 10th anniversary, which resides on September 5th. This is also when it started playing in theaters itself.
Fans and people alike were very excited about the release, saying that they were anticipating watching the musical in theaters and pointing out how people without Disney+ could enjoy the musical without paying for the subscription.
Added onto the theatrical release, they included a new prologue called “Reuniting the Revolution,”with interviews with the original cast and creators as they reflect on how the musical itself has changed their lives and gotten so popular.
