Jason Aldean released the song/album “Rearview Town” on April 13th of 2018. This song talks about why he left the city, town, or area where he lived before.
The lyrics “Wipe the footprints off my dash, Tore up those sun-faded photographs, Threw em in the wind, y’all can have it back, I’m outta here, I stuck my middle finger up in the sky, Flipped off that ‘y’all come back’ sign, Looked in the mirror one last time, And watched it disappear.” Now anyone who has had an ex boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, husband, gets the point and at some point we all have one, so you could argue everyone can relate to this.
More lyrics “I could tough it out, but what’s the use, A place that small, it’s hard to do, Too much of her to run into” again can be relatable to anyone that has been in a relationship.
The lyrics go “It ain’t nothing but a yesterday, One less truck rollin’ down Main, Ain’t nothing left to say, No it ain’t nothing what it used to be, Population minus me on the other side of that dust cloud, Ain’t nothing but a rearview town.” So this song can be related to anyone. It relates to me because I feel like that when I think of where I grew up, where I am going to high school, and I think of all the good and bad memories.
