On September 16th a new game came out as free to play with its early access called Skate. From my experience the game is fun and I don’t have any issues with how the game’s graphics are, but diehard fans of the Skate franchise say the game is a disgrace since it is not “realistic” and to that I say, they just hate fun. I believe those who say the new skate game is “unrealistic” are just hypocrites since the skate games were never realistic since in every game you could do the craziest tricks that defy the laws of physics and are really unrealistic to perform in real life and they also complain about the microtransactions in the game which are optional meaning you don’t need to buy them to have fun in the game and the microtransactions are just there if people want more clothes and skate parts to customize their character’s outfits and board even though if you play the game you gain in game currency which allows you to buy randomized boxes which contains clothes and skate parts, so to say you hate a game for its unrealistic gameplay, different graphics, and microtransactions is just to criticize in general since it does not affect the gameplay in any way.
