Dia De Los Muertos

November 2, 2018

Dia De Los Muertos, also known as “Day of the Dead” is not one but two days that honor the dead.

The first day celebrates infants and children who have died.  This is a group that is believed to have a special place in heaven, and are referred as “Angelitos”or “Little angels.” The second day honors adults that have passed away. This multi-day holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and give remembrance of dead family members and friends.  It is a Mexican  holiday celebrated throughout Mexico, in particular the central and south regions, and by people of  Mexican heritage.
