Announced on June 12, 2025 was the upcoming roller coaster in Universal Studios Hollywood! This ride is set to come out in 2026 as most people know, but speculation is when it exactly will.
It would be the second outdoor roller coaster set within the amusement park, as Flight of the HippoGriff is the first in Hogsmeade.
Speaking of Hogsmeade, Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift will be located just across the land! Located in the upper lot, it will be taking up the former Special Effects and Animal Actors show space.
Unsurprisingly, this ride will be speedy, going up to 72 MPH! Isn’t that fast! It would be marked the fastest coaster in any current Universal Location, barely beating VelociCoaster which stands at 70 MPH. It will NOT be like any regular coaster.
There will be inversions, on-board audio which plays throughout various speakers inside the car, and 360 timed rotations! The cart, more like car, will be designed to look like the iconic cars from the Fast & Furious movies, for example Dominic Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger.
At times, the car will move from its original state into a turn, simulating someone drifting.
Originally, people were considering the attraction would arrive mid-late 2026, but there is an increasing chance it will in early-mid! Universal is more than well known for their fast construction. Super Nintendo World was a prime example for Hollywood, and the entirety of Epic Universe for Orlando.
From January to now, it went from a landscaping to the gates being down to getting a closer look into the ride itself! Testing for the coaster is hinted to be soon, which only brings people to theorize dates close and closer to early 2026. As of now, there is no current month or day signifying its release, but it truly is worth each month passing by.
2026 is Universal Hollywood’s Year!
