Hurricane Lee

Hurricane Lee

Hurricane Lee is is a category 5 hurricane that started in the Atlantic Ocean. As of right now it’s about 550 miles east of the Leeward Islands. It is also creating up to 155 mph winds. Lee is going to be one of the most powerful category 5 hurricanes that experts have seen. Though it is supposed to remain a major hurricane into this next week, experts do not know just yet if the hurricane will reach the US. Lee first started as a category 1 but with warm waters got intensified within a day. They expect dangerously high surf and rip currents to travel into the Caribbean and potentially the US. In some cases these surf currents could become life threatening with how dangerous they could be.
