I went prom dress shopping this past weekend and it might’ve been one of the most stressful shopping trips I’ve ever had. So what are the pros and cons of shopping in person vs. online?

Well for starters, being able to shop for dresses in person does allow for easy try-ons. You get to feel the texture of the dress, the length, and see how the design fits on your body. The only con is that it can be time consuming, especially if you didn’t have an idea of what you wanted beforehand. I tried on a great handful of dresses and still didn’t really find the right one for me. That’s when I went to online shops that shipped dresses within a couple days.

Now the online shopping can be a little trickier when buying very specific clothing. My main concern was that I’d try on the dress and not like it when it arrived, which is why I tried to look at as many dresses as possible at the mall before resorting to online. But a good thing about online shopping is the wide variety and filtering system. It was very easy to find a black dress because all you had to do was click buttons to see the options. That was how I actually ended up buying my dress online. But overall, it depends on the type of person you are when it comes to shopping and what you’re trying to go for.
